The Litt-Fest is the annual Literature Festival of the Department. Every year the Department encourages students from all streams and faculties to participate in a host of literary and cultural activities. The previous fest met with stupendous success with students coming forth in throngs to enact plays, recite poems, display creative literature- based posters and so much, much more! The idea behind is to make literature not only accessible to the student’s experience but also to make it FUN! Literature is a cultural product and should be enjoyed as such. Of course, there are also several language based events, the Scrabble Marathon and the Spelling Bee Contest for instance. And with color based dress codes for each day, it can mean only FUN!
This year’s Litt-Fest commences on August 29 and continues till August 31 with the ritualistic Litt-Fest picnic on September 1.
THE LITT-WHIZ
The Department also announces a special prize for the ‘Litt-Whiz’. The student who participates and wins the maximum number of Litt-fest events deserves a trophy for her enthusiasm and creativity. Last year’s winner was Ms. Rooshna Rashid from SYBA. We only wait to see who it will be next!
